Since you can only have six months open at a time, would it be possible to issue a maintenance release that changes the screen for the "Post Transactions" so that you can see all six months? Several times now, I have added a transaction for an early month, tried to just post that one item and accidentally posted all of the transactions for a more recent month as well. Now I have a posting report with transactions from more than one month on it, which messes up my report filing system. If I could just see all six months at once, I would be able to see that month six is checked and I can uncheck it before I go to post month 1.

You can actually have up to 12 months open at a time in version 9 and 18 months open at a time in version 10.

To change this, go to File > Preferences > Accounting Setup > Fund Accounting tab.

Okay, but it would still be extremely helpful to have all open months show on the Post Transactions screen. For some reason, it seems to always select the most recent month which is often hidden because I have more than three months open.

The post transactions screen will show only months where there are unposted transactions, as long as those months are within the range of months you can post to (within your 6, 12, or 18 open months)

We have a savings account that only sends us statements every six months. So, when that comes, I have to go back and post the interest for each month. When I go into "Post Transactions", I end up with six months of unposted transactions, but the screen only shows me the earliest three. I have to scroll down to see the others. For some reason, it often checks off one or two of the more recent months (that I don't want to post yet) and unless I scroll down to check, I accidentally post them as well as the month that I was actually trying to post.

So, it would be wonderful if the screen could be adjusted so that you could see all open months with unposted transactions at the same time so that you could easily verify which months were checked to be posted.
