Big error in posting contributions

Began using Version 10 Powerchurch mid year of 2008. So for 2009 we are anxious to use all the Powerchurch functions. By accident I posted the first 2 months of 2009's contributions to the contributions module only. I wanted to update the fund accounting module also. How can I correct my mistake for those 2 months? How should I proceed from here with the remainder of the year, I will need accurate contributions reports to print for our members quarterly?

Please keep in mind I am new to this so please supply as much detail as possible. Thanks.

I can't figure out an automatic solution to do this, but here are the manual steps:

Had you posted the contributions in Fund Accounting, the information that gets passed along is:
Fund, Date, Amount

So, go to the Contributions Module, Reports, Fund Report by Date and put in the range of dates for the Contributions that you missed.

You will get a list of Contributions like this:
100 General Tithes $3,500 2/28/09
110 Missions $350.00 2/28/09

In Fund Accounting, General Tithes actually updates two accounts:
01-1110-000 General Checking DB
01-4050-000 General Tithe Income CR

Go to Fund Accounting Enter transactions and enter
2/28/09 Contrib
01-1110-000 General Contrib $3,500 DB
01-4050-000 General Tithe Income CR

repeat this for each fund on each date.

It won't be that hard. You may have a few funds on each date.

I must clarify this, the info needed is :

Funds Accounting Account, Date, Amount

The transactions sent over are in this form:

ref,transdate,transdesc,acct,debit,credit
"CONTRIB.",02/16/2009,"Contributions 02/16/2009","011100000",100.00,0.00
"CONTRIB.",02/16/2009,"Contributions 02/16/2009","014210000",0.00,100.00

You can create a Text file in this format then import the transactions to the Funds Accounting module.

Follow the instructions above to get the data you want to update FA with, then format it as above.

You'll have to adjust the account numbers for whatever you have your system setup for.
