Outsourcing Payroll

Post by koofah »

I just started with PC+10 in our church. What advantage/disadvantage is there for using Payroll rather than outsourcing to ADP? Our paid staff is less than 5 employees .Thx

The hardest part of doing payroll yourself, in my opinion, is dealing with the tax forms, such as quarterly reports.

We have a bookkeeper who is comfortable dealing with deadlines, and tax reporting requirements. If that were not the case, our admin assistant would not want the added responsibility of payroll.

We also have 7 employees, by the way.

If ADP charges an acceptable rate, then outsourcing is a good option.

As far as printing payroll checks, that is almost simple, compared to the tax reporting issues.

I'm not sure why you would want the extra cost of paying someone to do payroll when Powerchurch has a great setup in Payroll to do it yourself. Once you get it set up, it's easy to do.
