Sub-totals on the income statement

Post by pastortim »

The standard income statement generates totals after the income and expense sections. However, we have been unable to generate sub-totals within the income and expense sections of the income statement. How do we generate sub-totals of groups of expenses on the standard income statement?

Subtotals are generated automatically based on the "Report Level" that is assigned to each account. You will notice on reports that some accounts are indented further to the right, the more detailed you get.

It works like the following example:

1. GROUP
---2. GROUP 2
------3. GROUP 3
---------4. Detail
---------4. Detail
---------4. Detail
------Subtotal of GROUP3
------3. GROUP 3
---------4. Detail
---------4. Detail
---------4. Detail
------------5. Detail2
------------5. Detail2
---------Subtotal of Detail
---------4. Detail
---------4. Detail
---------4. Detail
------Subtotal of GROUP3
---Subtotal of GROUP2
Subtotal of GROUP1
