Emailing invoices from AR

Is there any way to email invoices directly from Accounts Receivable. I have had a request to do this and the only way I can find to accomplish this is to print the invoice then scan it. I could not even find a way to save it as a PDF file. I am using V10.4 currently and it appears that V11 does not have this feature either. Something to add to the wish list????

FWIW ... saving as a PDF would allow the mailing as an attachment via Outlook, Windows Mail or Thunderbird, and save the problem of having to link to the email program. Tom, the other alternative if this is not immediately doable is to use the shareware program PDF995. It is free (actually you get an advertisement as it creates the PDF, but that's only 10 seconds) but it creates a PDF. You set it up as a printer on your system, and you print to the PDF995 printer. It will ask for a filename and location, then create the file.
You can find this at PDF995.com, you can also purchase their entire suite of 10 programs for the unheard of price of $29.95, and I have found that its well worth the money for all of them.

That seems to work but it opens Internet Explorer every time I use it. This is not something I want to be happening since I do not use IE unless I absolutely have to. Is there a way around this diabolical plot by Microsoft?

Only when you pay for the product. Either 19.95 for the PDF995 software, or 29.95 for the entire set. Well worth it, IMHO!!

I use DoPDF, which is totally free with no ads.

Hmmm ... since I've been using PDF995 for at least 5 or 6 years, I've not needed to find another program, this is a new one, and looks very good.
