Changing Category

Can you change the category of an account - I am just starting to use Donar Restricted Accounts. My 3000 accounts are now Fund Balance Accounts. Shouldn't they now be Equity Accounts? How do I make this happen/work? thanks!

It is only a difference in terminology.

Fund Balance = Equity = Net Assets.

You can change this preference in the program under File > Preference > Accounting Setup > Fund Accounting tab. Change the "Equity Term Used In Reports" option. You can also change the name of the accounts in the Maintain Chart of Accounts screen.
