I am using version 10. I notice this year when I print the w-2 forms, the employee SS# appears in box 1d and the control number in box 1a. This is the reverse of how it is to be printed. Last year everything was ok. Thanks for any advice on correcting this. Jim H

Are you using a different form version than last year ?? When I view the W-2 in the screen preview mode, everything is in the correct boxes. Have you verified that in screen preview the boxes are incorrectly filled in ??

Hello: The w-2 I am using is exactly the same as last year. When I get the screen titled "modify tax form information" it shows:
a. Control number
b. Employers ID
c. Employee name/address
d. Employee SS#

The w-2 form layout:
a. Employees SS#
b. Employer ID
c. Employee name/address
d. control number

Be sure to get the latest Maintenance Release for version 10. It was updated in 2008 to make this change on the W2 form. If the program is printing in the wrong box, you seem to be running an old program date.

Thanks. When we installed the software on our new server last Fall, I forgot the maintenance update.
