I want to write a check to the vendor MISC, which PC tells me is a reserved name, thats fine, I knew that was supposed to be set up by the system. But when I attempt to write a check using that vendor ID, it tells me it's not found ... but it won't let me set it up because it's reserved ... but it's not found ...etc. I can just make up another vendor ID, but I'd like to know what's happening with this one anyhow.

You won't be able to print a check to MISC. It is for manual checks only.

If you want to print a check, add a vendor with something other than "MISC" in the vendor ID field.
