We wanted to account for our sales of DVD's so we created a Group Acct under Income to account for our actions. What we failed to do was create a Detail account under the Group, so the money for 3 months was posed under the group acct.
When we went to close the months we received an error naturally. So we deleted the Group acct, and had not moved the funds to a "new Acct under detail. Now we can find out how to clear the funds from the no longer Group, and can't close those months.
Please help,

Re: Group vs Detail Error
Neither version 10.4 nor version 11 lets me post to a GROUP account.
My guess is that the information was never really posted. You will probably have to re-enter it.

When the posting repost is printed the funds show up. Bur displays an error when we attempt to close.
Since we deleted the acct. from our chart of accounts we can find the funds to erase them. The other income with those months do not post either because the funds fir the DVD's is a part of the month. So we're left at the moment with those months open.

Can you go into Fund Accounting / Modify Unposted Transactions and delete these transactions?

Not sure if you are using the words "fund" and "accounts" interchangeably.
Probably, the answer is, unless you have a backup, you may have lost the information.
Was a single account number deleted? or an entire fund?

Sorry about the long delay to your question. But only the number to that fund was deleted.
