Accounting

Post by finsec10 »

My assistant secretary has entered tranactions into fund accounting for July & August and sent them to me via email, unposted as a pdf file. How do I get them into PCPLUS without having to key in each transactons? We are budgeting early and need income/Expenses throught August. I have tried the "importing accounting transactions" feature with no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you.

A PDF file cannot be imported into Powerchurch (nor any other software that I know of).

I'm assuming that the assistant has a separate copy of Powerchurch, and that you do too ??

That has to be a nightmare to keep synchronized. I take it that you cannot share the same database, as you both work at home ??

The only alternatives would either do backups of the accounting database and send them back and forth to one another, or use the Export Accounting Transactions function then import using the Import function. That would limit you to either comma or tab delimited formats, but that would work (possibly).

Would it be too much to ask for you to tell us exactly how you use Powerchurch at your church ??

Using PC+ since 1999.
