New user with Accounts question

We just recently purchased PowerChurch 9 and so far it is great. I've been entering members and playing with the reports, but now I want to start using the Accounting module to learn and practice. I don't however, intend on using it exclusively until January 1, 2005. I will keep using the old method until I'm sure I know how to use it and am completely comfortable.
If I set up the accounts now and start entering numbers is there then a way I can delete everything and start fresh in Jan. If not, is there a way to practice? I'm sure eventually everything will start to come easier, but until then I don't want to make any mistakes.
Thanks

Not knowing how you have PC+ installed, its a bit hard to give some tips, but.

Assuming that you have PC+ installed to a network drive for your main use, nothing says you can't install PC+ on a local drive in a different directory in order to test your accounting setup.

FWIW ... we have 3 versions of PC+ setup on our systems in order to access data that we need from 2 years ago. The new version allows you to keep this data, but the V8 & 8.5 did not.

These other versions are located in separate directories, and they do not affect the use of the newer version.

Hope this helps.

Another idea is to install the demo disk and use it as your test environment.

I didn't think about using the demo disk. I'll try that first and if I still need more practice I can try installing a second one.
Thanks for the quick replies. This forum is one of the main reasons we chose this program.
