Annual Budget Worksheet report incorrect.

Post by lincolnda »

Have just started using the 10/12/04 release of V9.0. I wonder if anyone else has had the problem of getting incorrect amounts under the 'actual' and 'Budget' columns on the Annual Budget Worksheet report. I suspect if your fiscal year is Jan-Dec you won't see a problem. Our fiscal year runs Oct-Sept, but the amounts in the mentioned columns seem to be correct if you use our data that runs from Jan-Dec. When printing for the fiscal year ending Sept 2004, the amounts under the actual column are equal to the fiscal year amount minus the sum of Oct 2003-Dec 2003. The amount under the 2004 budget column equals the Jan-Sept 2004 budget amounts added to the first quarter fiscal year 2005 monthly budget amounts (Oct-Dec 2004). Under the 2005 budget column, the amount is only for 9 months of the 2005 fiscal year. When I put those same budget numbers into the first 3 months of the 2006 fiscal year budget, Oct-Dec 2005, then I do get the correct FY 2005 budget numbers in that column, which seems to prove to me the report is running Jan - Dec rather than the fiscal year starting in Oct. If I run the Budget Worksheet Report which prints the monthly amounts (and is a lot more pages), that does come out correct for our fiscal year, but I would rather work with the more abreviated annual budget worksheet if it would work correctly.

Yes, this problem has been reported, it is currently being tested and a maintenance release will correct this problem.

Thanks for the fast response. In the meantime I discovered another report seeming to misbehave. If in the Check register by fund (formerly cash flow), the summary option is used, the credit and debit figures for the total year seem to be on the income/expense line, instead of just the monthly amount, and if those figures are applied to the beginning balance, you don't get the correct ending balance for the month. Using the detail option the same wrong credits and debit numbers appear on the subtotal line for each fund and adding up the individual credits and debits doesn't yield the amounts on the subtotal lines. Somehow though, the final checking acct balance for whatever fund you are looking at is correct. Also the final totals block at end of report seems to have correct monthly amount for credits and debits. Just wondering if the new maint release will also correct that issue?
