Hello, I am working on the reconciliation for my church. I'm trying to clear up old amounts that should be removed. After I finished the month of May. I started another one for May to clear the old amounts. The issue is that when I put in the amount of the old dollar amounts, instead of reversing, it adds it to the total outstanding. Please help me to understand why it is adding and not clearing the old amounts. I can't go to the next month until I can take care of May.

OK ... you say you're doing a reconciliation, and that you did one. Was that the checking account? Did it reconcile to zero?

Now, you say you're doing other accounts. Which other accounts? Are they savings, or other checking accounts?
