Crossing Accounting year?

I am using PC v.11 and am trying to run the income and expense statement. I am trying to include info from January through June and am getting the message that my date range has crossed an accounting year and cannot be done. How can I cange the accounting year to reflect the Jan-dec we acutally use?

Under File > Preferences > Accounting Setup. There is a field labeled "Fiscal year starts with the month of". Change that to January and the software will use the January to December year.
