I have a question about the transfer of money in the same fund - the General Fund.

First of all, we closed our savings account which had a balance of $2,000 and placed it into 3 separate CD's:- one 6-month CD, one 12-month CD and one 18-month CD.

We also took $4,000.00 from our checking account and put it into the CD's as well making the total from our savings and checking $6.000.000. (Not true money amounts).

From the combined checking and savings amount of $6,000.00, we placed:

$1,000.00 in the 6-month CD
$2,000.00 in the 12-month CD
$3,000.00 in the 18 month CD

How would I show these transfers all in our 01- General Fund account?

DB 01-1134-000 18month CD $400

mv $1200 from savings $400 into each CD
CR savings 01-1120-000 $1200
DB 01-1130-000 6month CD $400
DB 01-1132-000 12month CD $400
DB 01-1134-000 18month CD $400
