Beginning balances

Post by pvanatti »

I am using PC 11.5. I put all the info in for the general fund, set up separate fund accounts for the areas that raise their own money for operating. I just realized that I was not asked for a beginning balance for these funds. So, not only will these funds balances be off the general fund balance will also be off. how can I get the beginning balance in the funds? I have already posted some contributions to some of the funds.
I know when i get this program set up completely it will be a great asset, however it is overwhelming right now.

When you setup Powerchurch Accounting for the first time, it will help you setup your primary operating fund. It will walk you through the setup asking you for information such as beginning balance.

However, when you create other funds you need to enter manual transactions to create the beginning balance. I'm assuming that you're updating the amount in the checking account.
