payroll

Post by imm »

I am new to this forum, so if I'm asking questions that have been previously addressed, please forgive me. I have used power church for a few years, but have not dealt with anything related to w-4's and 1099's. These have been prepared by other individuals. We have only 1 paid employee. How do I set up his records so that I will be able to print the 1099 at the end of the year? Also, what is the best guide for me to know what is taxable income for a pastor? Thanks. imm

1st: Are you using the Payroll module in Funds Accounting to pay your employee?
2nd: The best guides are from the IRS. A good place to start is this publication: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p1828.pdf, as well as this one: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p517.pdf

And here is one created by a denominational entity: http://web.pensions.org/Publications/pe ... ax-001.pdf

Using PC+ since 1999.
