Direct Deposit Posting
We just started using direct deposit and use VANCO as our provider. VANCO posts one credit to our bank account for the total of the net checks. Power church still posts each checks as an individual check to the bank listing in Powerchurch. I tried to change the account line in payroll, but only Asset accounts are allowed. I could change it in Fund accounting, but then the accounting entry does not match the accounting entry in Payroll. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Direct Deposit Posting
Change the Item Description from type Income to something else, like Other Deduction, and you can use a wider range of accounts.

Unfortunately, this is on the "Maintain Item Description" setup where the only choices allowed are an expense account and a bank account.

Your looking at the existing Pay Item that comes up when you go to Maintain Pay Item Descriptions.
When you click on ADD, you can choose the type (the default is Income). Choose Other Deduction, for example.

Hi Steve! I was wondering if you ever found a way to do this?
I would also like to have my fund accounting match the bank statement because it makes it a lot easier to balance.
Thanks!
Tena
