What do I put for the allowances (in the exempt/year) box for the state tax table? I know that the standard deduction is $1910 for the year and that you get a $20 credit for each allowance claimed, I just can't get it to work.
Thanks!

Iowa has the same problem, except the exemption credit is $40. Iowa has a further complication in that the annualized amount of Federal tax withheld needs to be deducted from the annualized wages before computing the tax. I am sending an email to Jeff in the hope that there is a workaround solution to this. In the meantime you may need to look up the withholding amount in the Kentucky tax rate tables and then enter the witholding amount manually instead of letting PowerChurch calculate it for you.

I have talked to several KY users, but haven't gotten it resolved. I ended up entering my checks on Peachtree to see what the figures should be and then entered an amount in the exempt/year field until I had the correct amount deducted.
I have another issue with the housing allowance. We include the housing allowance on the payroll check and it is only subject to our local tax. When you set up the housing allowance you have to enter that it is either taxable income or not. I tried to check the box for the amount to be entered on the local wages and/or tax withheld hoping that would pick it up, but it didn't. I ended up seting up an additional local tax and entered the figure that would be deducted each check. Any other way around that or thoughts on that?
Thanks!
