Chart of Accounts-Type of Account and Report level

I recently updated to Version 9 and I am trying to make some changes in our Chart of Accounts. However, I have not been able to discover how I can change the type of account and report level. It was easy to make these changes in version 8, but not in ver 9. I need to change the type of account to go to a higher report level (2.4), but can't figure out how. The manual and online help does not address this problem. Can some one help????

Use the scroll arrows on the Report Level box in the Maintain Chart of Accounts screen to change the report levels, then click save. You cannot change the account type on an account that has already been established from a detail account to a group account, or vice versa, in Version 9. To make these types of changes you will need to add, delete, or move accounts in your chart of accounts.

Thanks for the reply. I suspected that would be the answer, but was hoping that ver 9 would be consistant with Ver 8+. As you know, in earlier versions, you can make these changes quite easily. However, I guess I will have to go through the tedius process of making the many changes required to bring my Chart to where it needs to bew.
