I started out right. I started entering contributions for 2008 with the correct year. Somehow, I completely forgot to change the year, and I have been entering last year's contributions using this year (2009) omg!
Please help me. How can I fix this?
I do not want to delete all of the work I have already done. Is there anyway to change the year without having to redo all of the work?

As long as you've not posted any of the contributions, you can enter the <i>Modify Unposted Contributions</i> and change the contribution date there. You'd have to do each contribution separately, along with any adjustment to the pledge period (if any) that contribution will be credited to.
