Can someone tell me the format for the CSV file needed to import contributions. The manual I have says it can be done but does not explain the format. I know the 4 items needed are but do not know the order of the items.
date (what format) mmddyy mm-dd-yy ???
envelope#
fund
amount
Manual says data can be imported from floppy disk. Will a thumb drive work???
Thanks for any help.

Re: Importing Contribution Data
If you select Import Contributions a dialog will appear that lists the data order, type, width, and whether a decimal is needed on a numeric item.DavidP wrote:Can someone tell me the format for the CSV file needed to import contributions. The format is as follows: Env Number, Amount, Date and Fund Number
The date format would have to be in standard DBMS format of YYYYMMDD.
For example, to show a contribution of $70 from envelope #100 to fund 3, on Jan 1 2009, the record would be:
00100,000007000,20090101,00003
Clicking next will bring you to a dialog where you can browse your computer for the file you want to import.

They may or may not be. I'm basing what I put down on the field requirements as listed.DavidP wrote:Neil,
Thank you very much for the reply. I will have to find out if all the leading zeros are needed.
