We've just started using the contributions module, and had 2 related questions come up today.
1. We received a contribution from a small business that is owned by person who already has a record in Power Church. I assume that, for tax purposes, the contribution needs to show as coming from the business, not the individual. Should we set up 2 Power Church records with the same address - one for the individual and one for the business?
2. We have a few members whose employers match their contributions. How do you record those matching contributions in Power Church?
Thanks for your help.

answer to #1) I always check with the donor how they want to assign a check from their personal business. The default condition I use is to create a separate envelope number for the business.
answer to #2) I would either create a separate envelope number for the employee match (i.e. the same person with two envelope numbers), or at least a separate contribution fund. Most likely, the employee will need to know the amount of the match given when it comes tax time. If that number shows up on his envelope number in a separate fund, or on a separate piece of paper, that would be good.
