I just created a Mail-Merge in Custom Reports to pull up contributors for a memorial number. It pulled up the correct information and created the mail merge labeld QMF_TEMP.MRG and saved it....but I can't find it to merge it into my letter.
I've looked on the desktop, in My Doc's, and....I can't find "FIND folder" in WindowsXP.
Thanks for your help...which I know will be obvious and easy.

Re: Mail Merge Saved Where?
Look in your Preferences / User Setup Options / Mail Merge tab.
You can set the location of the mail merge file. Hopefully, that will tell you the answer.

Actually, since this is a custom report, the mail merge preferences don't apply.JohnDMeyers wrote:Look in your Preferences / User Setup Options / Mail Merge tab.

Custom Reports automatically save the file into the program directory. By default, this is C:\PowerChurch\PCPLUS10 or whatever version it is that you are using.
You can change the location of the saved QMF file by changing the export file name to C:\FOLDER NAME\QMF_TEMP instead of the default QMF_TEMP.
Re: Mail Merge Saved Where?
John & Zorak...thanks...it ALMOST worked...
I did as John said and changed my mailmerge folder to:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Document\Memorial Ack
I re-saved the Custom Report and still could not find it.
Using the Search button I found it went to:
U:\PowerChurch\PCPLUS2008
This is the path to the server
That address is found when I right click on my PowerChurch Icon-Properties-Short Cut-Start In:
I have spent 30 minutes typing different file names, as Zorak said, that it will accept...it won't take anything. I get a different message each time...too long, use only letters, file path is wrong.
Do I need to create a memorial file on my server U: instead of trying to link it to C:\My Documents\Memorials...or do I just need to call my computer tech...PowerChurch Tech?
Thanks for your advice~Kristi

Re: Mail Merge Saved Where?
The easiest thing to do would be to just access it from U:\PowerChurch\PCPLUS2008, but...
If you create a folder directly on your C: drive called "Memorial", then enter "C:\Memorial\QMF_TEMP" there should not be any issues (the folder already exists, doesn't have spaces, etc.)

Thank you, making a Memorial folder in C: drive worked the first try.
