Envelope Number Required to Enter Contribution
Is there any way I can setup a contributor without an envelope number and enter a contribution for the person? I've noticed that if an envelope number is not entered for the person, they are not shown in the selection form. We have people who may make sporadic contributions and do not use an envelop.

The short answer to your question is "no."dennisestoll wrote:Is there any way I can setup a contributor without an envelope number and enter a contribution for the person? The "Contributions Overview" page of the online Help file says:
PowerChurch Plus requires the envelope number for internal use, so you need to assign them even if you do not currently use numbered envelopes in your church.
For a contributor such as you have described (does not use an envelope) you would assign a number outside the range of numbers assigned to people who do use envelopes. For example, you may want to use numbers above 10000 for this type of contributor. The highest envelope number available is 99998.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I'm assigning a number in 90000 for those that do not have an assigned envelope number.

Just to clarify -- you are assigning a unique number in the 90000 range to each contributor that does not have a physical envelope (i.e., a separate number for each such contributor).dennisestoll wrote:Thanks for the reply. Yes. PowerChurch does allow the same envelope for different familes, which is a good check.

Um .. I'm fairly sure that what you meant to say was: "Powerchurch does not allow the same envelope ..."dennisestoll wrote:Yes. PowerChurch does allow the same envelope for different familes, which is a good check.
