I am using Version 11, but have had this issue in the previous version of PowerChurch.
When the Contribution Range Report is ran, the first range always has a very large number (over 600). I think the report maybe including all envelopes in the system. If this is true, how do you make an envelope number inactive.

Re: Contribution Range Report
I think this is completed using the personal status options.
Re: Contribution Range Report
The first range is 0 thru 0, that usually means that there are over 600 envelopes that have not given anything so far in the period selected.JodySmith wrote:I am using Version 11, but have had this issue in the previous version of PowerChurch.

You can delete envelope numbers by going into each person's Personal Profile and deleting the number listed under the envelope number. You then be given two chances to change your mind, but after the final OK, the number will be gone, and any contributions listed under that number will be moved to a internal use number that cannot be accessed.
That said, What we usually do is move inactive envelopes to a range outside of our normal usage. The reason for this is that you are required by the IRS to maintain contribution information for at least 3 years.
So, if your normal range of numbers are as follows:
1 thru 200 - normal member envelopes
1000 thru 1999 - visitors, one time givers, non-members
I would move these inactive envelopes to a range above 2000. Then when you run the report you exclude any envelope over 2000 by entering the envelope range 1 thru 1999 in the report's filtering options.
Hope this helps.
