Contributions Posting to Fund Acctg
I have entered our contributions, and posted them by updating fund accounting. When I look at any given individual, this is the case. However, when I go to our acctg. module, to reconcile the bank stmt., the deposit is not listed. It is also not in the list of unposted transactions. Where has it gone and how to I get it posted in fund accounting?
Re: Contributions Posting to Fund Acctg
If you posted Contributions and Updated Funds Accounting, the transactions created by this action normally reside in the Unposted Transactions in Funds Accounting until someone posts in Funds Accounting.Heidilr1 wrote:I have entered our contributions, and posted them by updating fund accounting. If someone posted transactions in Funds Accounting recently, and you can't find the Contributions deposit transactions I would check to see if they posted under the correct month and year.
I'd also go into Bank Statement reconciliation and include All Data so that everything appears in the reconciliation. If it still can't be found, do a Selected Transaction report, select the income account the deposit would normally close to, and open the months to as wide a selection as possible to make sure that the deposit was not posted to the incorrect month or year.
Finally, check to see if anyone has restored the Funds Accounting database files by going into the Utilities drop down menu, and selecting the System Audit Log.
If after all this, you still cannot find the deposit, you may have to enter the deposit transaction by hand.

Re: Contributions Posting to Fund Acctg
If I do have to enter it by hand into Fund Acctg., since the individual detail is in the Contributions Module, can I just input the final entry into FA (debiting the checking a/c, crediting the various funds)?

Yes, that is the basic transaction set created when you post and Update Funds Accounting.Heidilr1 wrote:If I do have to enter it by hand into Fund Acctg., since the individual detail is in the Contributions Module, can I just input the final entry into FA (debiting the checking a/c, crediting the various funds)?
