One user's input not posting

Post by Stjtreasurer »

Version 11.1 with latest update. We have two users who input contributions. User tbrink's input data appears on the Contribution Statements, the Funds Report by Date, the Journal Report, as Posted Transactions, and as deposits in the Reconcile Bank Accounts module. User mminks's input data appears on the Contribution Statements, and the Funds Report by Date, NOT on the Journal Report, NOT as a Posted Transaction, and NOT in the Reconcile Banks Accounts module.
Data input by mminks that appeared as Posted Transactions in May and June no longer appears.

I took over as the treasurer for our church in June. So, I am new to PowerChurch +. I have no idea how to resolve this issue. I have reindexed the database and it had no effect. Help!

OK ... first question, do they alternate entering data, one taking one week, then the other taking the next?

Do they also do the Posting of Contribution data ?? It sounds like user mminks is posting to contributions only and not Posting to Funds Accounting.

They do, in fact, alternate entering the data.

They also post the Contribution data. Your observation is spot on in that mminks was posting to contributions only. I doubt I would have figured out the problem on my own. I sincerely appreciate your assistance.

Is there a way to find and transfer the data posted to contributions only? Am I correct in anticipating that my next step is to use the information from the Funds Report by Date and enter the contribution data through journal entries?

Thanks again!

You're welcome. Its something that has happened to a number of people over the years.

Yes, the only way to do this is to manually enter the Contributions deposit using the Funds Report for each Sunday.

The good news is that you can look at a previous Contributions deposit to get an idea of what goes where.
