When you choose to use the email function to send out Contribution statements, which email address is used - household (family) or persona profile? Will it look for one first and if not there look in the other location? Does the "email contribution" flag have to be on at the household level even if there is no email address at that level?
I'm having some inconsistent behavior on which people are selected to have their statements emailed and am trying to figure out the pattern.
thanks,
Debbie

Re: Email address for contribution statements
If I remember right. The system first checks to see if there's an email address setup under the personal profile. If the spouse is also listed on the envelope number, then email address of the person whose profile number is the lowest (for example, MR & Mrs are usually 1 & 2 profiles) would be used. If there is no email address listed for the first one, then the second profile listed will be checked, and so on.debbieg wrote:When you choose to use the email function to send out Contribution statements, which email address is used - household (family) or persona profile? If no email addresses are setup under the personal profiles, then the email address on the Mailing List Profile is used.
Almost forgot, the checkbox next to the email address that asks if you want to use the email address for contribution emails must also be checked.
