Our church has several members that own businesses and provide services/items at no cost to the church. Please advise as to how to give a tax report without entering into the contributions (we don't want to have the donation added to our checking account).

Our church has several members that own businesses and provide services/items at no cost to the church. Please advise as to how to give a tax report without entering into the contributions (we don't want to have the donation added to our checking account).

You can actually enter this information into Contributions, but you should then post the contributions to the Contributions Module only. This is one of the choices you have in the pull-down selections when you post contributions.

The other alternative is to create a receipt on church letterhead listing the amount of the contribution or the description of the donation, and have the church treasurer and/or other church officer sign it.
