Pledge Statements
Is it possible to produce one statement thats show both ytd activity for a pledge and actual contributions AND the total pledge for the year and actual ytd contributions with the amount remaining to fulfull the pledge?
Re: Pledge Statements
Its one of the report options on the standard Contribution Statement. After you see the report page asking for the dates you want to report on, thenext option page is asking if you want to see pledges, and the outstanding pledge information.fwitte wrote:Is it possible to produce one statement thats show both ytd activity for a pledge and actual contributions AND the total pledge for the year and actual ytd contributions with the amount remaining to fulfull the pledge?
This will give you total given, and total remaining. Just remember to post all Contributions prior to running the report, anything given, but not posted, will not show up on the statement.

Re: Pledge Statements
Thx Neil...if I set up pledges on an annual basis, then I can pull this stmt for any date range and get the pledge balance. If I set pledges up on a weekly basis, I cannot produce a statement for 9/30 if i have posted amounts after 9/30, the statement will pick up all posted activity as of the date of the statement.
I can work with this.

Actually, you can adjust those dates in the OPTIONS of the report ...fwitte wrote:Thx Neil...if I set up pledges on an annual basis, then I can pull this stmt for any date range and get the pledge balance. On the page What Contributions do you want to include? of the report options, change the end date to 9/30, and leave the box checked for Print details for the same dates as totals, and you'll only see the amounts and totals as of the end date.
I just tested this, and it works that way on my version 11.5, with the latest Maintenance Release.

Re: Pledge Statements
Thanks again Neil. My Chair of the Trustees would like 3 changes to this report.
1. Rather than Fund Summary he would prefer "Contributions to Date"
2. In the pledge summary section he would like to see totals
3. In the pledge summary he would like to remove the word outstanding and just say "pledge balance"
I am thinking this requires me to write a report that will satisfy his request. OR write a short explanation in the comment section.
Any advice? Thoughts?

Re: Pledge Statements
Do what I did when I was asked to change a built-in report ... 'Its part of the program, it can't be changed'.fwitte wrote:Thanks again Neil. My Chair of the Trustees would like 3 changes to this report.

And you really can't create a report with both Contribution data, and the Pledge data using the Custom Report Writer in the program. It won't let you access both areas of the database.
You'd have to use the export to Access feature, then build the report.
Which is why saying that .. "its a standard report, and these header's can't be changed" .. is often the best answer, with any notation needed in the comments.
