I am trying to correct some receipts which have " & Family" in the title. When I look at the Directory Sequence, the list is 1 & 2 (Dad and Mom) and the 3 children are in /3, /4, and /5. The first child (in /3 sequence) has the same envelope number has mom and dad, but also has his OWN envelope number. When I try to change his envelope number to the `correct one`-meaning his own number, I get a warning that he has unposted contributions and therefor I can`t change his envelope number. How can I view the unposted contributions so that I can post them and move forward?
Thanks for the help!

The reason you're seeing the "& Family" is because the sequence #3 has the same number as the sequence #1 & 2.WGAdmin wrote:I am trying to correct some receipts which have " & Family" in the title. To change that you'll have to Post Contributions first. That means ALL the contributions for any Sunday Collection. Once that is done, you can change the number. There is no process to only post contributions for one envelope.
That said, if he has his own number, but not assigned to his personal profile, who is being credited with any contributions under that envelope ??

His own 'independent' number is assigned to his personal profile, but separately. If I print a report showing All Envelope Numbers, this person shows twice: once with the parents envelope number and then once with his own personal profile envelope number.
If the unposted contributions are only from this current year (2013) would that affect this also? If those are posted I should be able to make the adjustment?

Re: Viewing uposted contributions
The system should NOT be showing him assigned to two numbers. I'm not understanding what you mean by a number 'assigned separately'. It is either on his personal profile, or not. The system will not track a number without a personal profile attached.WGAdmin wrote:His own 'independent' number is assigned to his personal profile, but separately. I would look to see if you have two personal profiles assigned to this person, one of which is attached to a different Mailing List profile.

How would I do this? (I am new to Power Church, and need to register for a couple of the online courses but am currently pressed for time in order to get the Receipts completed for 2012.)

Re: Viewing uposted contributions
It sounds to me by reading your post that a second family has been added with the child as the family. First of all is this child an adult? Do you want him or her to be separate from the parents?
I would be very careful what you do with the contribution numbers because you could end up merging the child's contributions with the parents or the parents with the child's.

I'd go into Mailing List Profiles and to a LOCATE to pull up the list of profiles, then find the two profiles with the same last name; I suspect you'll find one of them with the child's first and last name listed.WGAdmin wrote:How would I do this? When you do this, you're going to have to MOVE the child's duplicate Personal Profile to under the parent's Mailing List profile. When you do this, you can then change the envelope number on the child's original Personal Profile to the correct envelope number.
Then delete the duplicate Personal Profile.
The reason for this step is that the system will not let you put an envelope number on a Personal Profile unless that envelope number is already assigned against someone under the same Mailing List profile (family unit).
