Contributions

Post by angel1 »

We are currently using 11.5 for contributions and 10.4 for accounting, as we have not completed our chart of accounts. In that we had not completed the chart of accounts, I did not post any contributions, however the process of getting the information I need to complete the chart of accounts is taking some time and I now have unposted contributions back to January.

My question, can I post these contributions, so that I can provide the Pastor with some reports that he is requesting? I have been providing him with the unposted contributions report for now and that has been satisfying him (somewhat).

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

You can post the Contributions to Contributions only, but then you're going to have to manually create the Funds Accounting transactions to cover the deposit to checking, and all the income accounts (Operating, Building, Deacons, etc) for each week.

Exactly what type of reports is he looking for?

What I would do is this, tell him that you can give him what you can now, then once the system is fully functional, you can provide more details. However, if you post those contributions now, it will entail having to spend an additional 1 to 2 hours making sure that the transactions are entered into accounting properly.

Thanks, that is what I told him, but you know............. He wants to know who has been tithing and who has not. I am working on the setup as quickly as I can, but there always seems to be something else that pops up.

Thank you so much.
