I accidentally posted contributions for a certain date twice. How do I delete 1 of the posted dates?

What version of Powerchurch are you using, and how can you post twice unless you entered the contributions twice??

I am using PowerChurch 11.5. I did enter the contributions twice. I need to know how to delete one of them.

1. You're going to have to access every person's contribution record using the View Posted Contributions function.

2. Find the duplicate contributions entry, then click on the Reverse button. Do this for every contributor you entered a duplicate for.

3. Did you post to Funds Accounting?? If so, post the reverses to funds accounting. If not, select the Post to Contributions only option when you post.

It will probably be fewer steps to correct this if you just delete that date completely in Contributions and enter them again just once. Go to Contributions > Setup > Delete Old Data. There you can type the dates from and to that you would like to delete. Just type that same date in both the from and to. It is highly recommended that you make a backup before going through the process, so you can undo it if necessary, like in the case of accidentally deleting from 11/3/0013 to 11/3/2013. Once you have deleted that date, go back to Contributions and Enter Contributions and put that date's contributions in once.

If you use the delete old data as listed in this post. What happens if they were already posted to fund account? do they delete also? Is it possible to also delete posted the contributions And start over as pointed to in this post?
Thanks
Craig

The Delete Old Data option in Contributions only affects Contributions. It does not touch any other areas of the database.
