Unable to assign Envelope Number to personal profiles #3 and up.

Hello,

Using PC 11.55 and wondering if there is a way to assign and envelope to an existing family member without having to go to Personal Profiles?

The only place I've seen for assigning envelope numbers is in the personal profiles. No shortcuts that I'm aware of. Is there something specific you're looking for? Or just expecting something under the contributions module?

Previously, in the Contributions module under Enter Contributions, whenever a new Contributor was needed to be added the window would prompt for a browse of existing profiles. An envelope could be assigned at time when the existing personal profile was located without having to open up the Personal Profiles module (version 11.1)

Still works the same, as long as the PCPLus admin has turned envelope assignment on.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I did not give enough info.

When running PC 11.1 and entering Contributions when new performing a look up for the a new contributor the user has the immediate option to assign an envelope number when the name (in this case the name of a child within a household) appears in the pop up window.

We have upgraded to 11.55 and now when performing a look up a list of the household appears. Parent(s) at the top and children below. There does not seem to be a way to assign an envelope from this window for one of the children. Basically, the difference is previously, the list showed one person and now we have the whole family with only the parent envelope numbers showing.

I hope this makes sense.

Aha ... I just did a test with my 11.1 version. I see what you mean. In V11.55, they've gone to the "Add Family Wizard" to pull up data. You can still do an entry to find a family, but there's currently no way to add an envelope number to a child from the Contributions Entry area. You'd have to have someone with Membership permissions to access the personal profile to add the number.

I'm going to get one of the Powerchurch techs to look at this thread, they may have some additional insight.

We have some processes in place and the person who does our data entry has been seeing the same screens for over 10 years and we kinda thru her off her game with this. I appreciate the techs looking at this.

Our developers have been made aware of this issue.

As you noted with the redesign of the add family assistant, you can no longer assign envelope numbers to children without using the Maintain Personal Profiles screen.
