When I posted the most recent contributions, I apparently posted them only to Contributions when I needed to post them to Contributions and Fund Accounting.
What do I need to do to get them posted to Fund Accounting???

You need to create a Manual Transaction in Funds Accounting. The easiest way to do that is as follows;KBoyd wrote:When I posted the most recent contributions, I apparently posted them only to Contributions when I needed to post them to Contributions and Fund Accounting.

1. In Contributions, run a Funds Report for the Sunday (or Sunday's) in question. Do a separate report for each Sunday if necessary as you'll have to create a separate transaction for each Sunday so that the Funds Accounting checking account reconciliation is correct.
2. Find the Bank Deposit Receipt to verify that the amount is what was deposited.
3. In Funds Accounting, look for a previous Contribution transaction in the Posted Transactions module. Open the Detail, and screen print that detail. I don't believe you can have that open, and create a new transaction at the same time.
4. Using that transaction as a guide, Enter a New Transaction in Funds Accounting. If you had a contribution to a Contribution Fund that does not have a related account showing in the example, look up the Funds Accounting Income Account number to use.
Once you do that, and the transaction you entered balances, and the amount in the checking account DEBIT column, equals the Bank Deposit slip (trust .. but verify ...) then save the transaction and post.
Then to insure this this doesn't happen again, make the default Contributions Posting to Funds Accounting. If you have System Admin privileges, go to File -> Preferences -> Contributions Setup. On that first tab, make sure that the line that says Post Contributions to: has the value of Update Fund Accounting. If it doesn't, use the pull-down selector, find it, then save that setting.
If you don't have SysAdmin privileges, get someone who does to do this.
