e-mail of contributions statements

Post by Kaym »

I have been unable to e-mail contributions statements to donors. As I understand it, PowerChurch does not run reports on our church's server, only on my PC, so the email server cannot be accessed. I also understand that this was not always the case.

Is there an update I can download to fix this problem or is there another way around it?

Thanks

PC+ will use the server that is setup by the System Administrator as the outgoing server. If your PC is setup on the church network, and it is setup to use the standard outgoing server, mail should be going out.

FWIW ... you should also be able to create reports on your 'server' machine if it is a Windows machine, if it is not, then that's why you can't use the server.

Without knowing more about how your network is setup, if you're on the latest maintenance release, and so on; I'm not sure anyone can give additional advice.

At our location, we have an 'in-house' Exchange server, but it routes all our outgoing mail to our ISP's SMTP server. PC+ is also setup to use the SMTP server at our ISP (IE: outgoing.verizon.net), so anyone on the network can route emails .

Using PC+ since 1999.
