Is there a "Hot Key" for Contr. Envelope numbers

Post by cgraves »

Hello,

We use Windows Xp and 2000, are on a server and have PCP V10. While adding an individual in the contribution module on the fly is there a "hot key" or navigation button to add the envelope number? I can navigate, and input data in most fields without using my mouse, except the envelope number field. Is there a "hot key" that will allow me to capture the next number or am I stuck reaching for the mouse each time?

Thanks,
cgraves

Unfortunately, there is no 'hot key' combination I am aware of, nor can I find in the manual or online help, for this. That said, I'm wondering how many new contributors are you adding each week ?

Contribution Hot Key

Thanks for the reply! I too have looked both online and in the manual, but found nothing. Unfortunate. It would be a time, and motion saver. I generally have to add anywhere from 4-10 new contributors a week. Most new contributors are really people outside of the congregation that have choosen to support one of the two missionaries that we sponser, one in Brazil, and a family in South Africia. Their "support" filters through our church. It is also unfortunate that every "contributor" has to become a personal profile, it is artifically inflating our "membership" module. Thanks again.

FWIW ... as long as you keep these profiles separate using special mailing list and personal profile status codes, you can filter out these contributors. Don't think about it as 'inflation', think about it as a single location for all your information. Not to mention that these contributors, may become members as long as you keep in contact.
