Incorrect (posted) contributions

We discovered after posting that some contributions from March are incorrect. The overall totals are correct, but a couple of the splits between two funds are incorrect. It seems we should first reverse the contributions in the Contributions module, followed by entering the correct contributions, and then post. Here's where I get fuzzy. If so, do we post to Contributions only, or post to Fund Accounting as well. And then what do we do in Fund Accounting to make the corrections? I guess it depends on how we post the Contributions?
Also, the March bank statement has not been reconciled.
We are on v 11.1 using Membership, Fund Accounting, AP, PR, and Contributions.
Thanks.

You want to post all the way to Funds Accounting, this will create the proper transactions for Funds Accounting, and put them in the Funds Accounting Unposted Transactions queue.
All you then need to do is post the transactions in Funds Accounting. Everything will be corrected and updated for you.

Thanks, that makes sense. I figured that would be the answer, but not having done it before I just wasn't sure. We'll do a run-through on a test set just to get comfortable with it.

All you really need to do is a backup of the database, then do the changes and postings. Then you can revert if its not what you expected.

Yeah, but I'm an old Oracle DBA, or I was in a former life anyway. It's still hard for me to do anything in a live database until it's been tested backwards, forward, and sideways.
