Envelopes Assigned to Unknown Contributors

I just did a report for unused envelopes, and had two envelopes show up as assigned to unknown contributors. I can't seem to figure out out to un-assign them.

Of course if I un reports against them I get "Envelope number 9011 not found".

FWIW ... I did a quick search of the forum to see if this has happened recently, as I don't remember seeing this exact issue. I went back to 2007 and saw an issue that was labeled as a bug, but this may be something that completely slipped through the cracks for six years. I'm assuming you're using v11 or 11.5.

Something to try:

Do a re-index of the system, under Utilities -> Reindex, see if that helps to pull them up on reports.

If this doesn't clear up the issue, or the numbers still shows as used, but you can't access the info, you will need to call Powerchurch directly. I suspect that there is still a bug, or that these numbers were created before the bug was fixed, and have been propagated through any upgrades you may have done.

Thanks for the reply. I have already tried the re-index route last week when there was only one number in the list. Last night I decided to have another attempt at resolving the issue when I discovered there now is second rouge number there. We are using V11.5, and have the latest maintenance release applied.

I'll get in touch with PowerChurch.
