Power Church v11.5 user. In all my years of working with finances, this is the first time this has happened. But twice now, funds from cash donations have been given out as reimbursements by members of the finance committee for various expenses. This leaves me with great concern, for several reasons. Each of those contributors specified exactly where the funds should be assigned via the offering envelope system but their gifts were not keyed into PowerChurch. The envelopes were discovered later separate from all the others. The money contributed was never counted as a part of the weekly income/deposit. What can be done to give proper credit to the persons who made those donation? Can something be done without changing the income reported for those weeks?

The Finance Committee members should not be giving out funds without tracking them in Powerchurch. This can lead to abuse and accusations of embezzlement.

That said, you can do the following to insure that the contributors get credit for the donation:

1. Post all existing contributions to Funds Accounting to clear out all unposted contributions
2. Enter these two contributions.
3. Post these contributions using the Post to Contributions Only option. This will only update the Contributions system.

However, I would bring this irregularity up to any church council and the pastor.
