Contributions not appearing in Income & Expense Statemen

I am new to PowerChurch Software. I have entered the contributions using the Contributions - Enter Contributions. I then posted the transactions in the Contributions menu. I have also posted the transactions in the Fund Accounting menu.
I am having trouble viewing the contributions in the income and expense statement. The contributions appear in the Account Activity Report but not in the Income and Expense Statement. I'm not sure if I have set something up incorrectly or if I'm missing a step. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks, Tracey

Run the Journal Report in Fund Accounting. What accounts were debited and credited when you posted the contributions? You should have debited your bank account (i.e. 01-1110) and credited a 4000 series income account (i.e. 01-4101-000)

Thanks for your reply. My bank account is both debited and credited for each entry.
For example, my first entry is:
Debit Credit
01-1110 Bank Contributions 01-1110 66.98
01-1110 Bank General Fund 66.98

Do you know how I can correct this?
Thanks again,
Tracey

Did you go to Fund Accounting and post the contributions?

Hope this helps.

Yes, I posted the contributions in the Contributions menu and in the Fund Accounting menu.

Is the month you posted them to included in the report's range ??

FWIW ... you no longer have to post the fund accounting, since there is now an option to include non-posted transactions in the report.

Yes, the month I posted them is in the report's range. I think the problem may have been identified in the first reply I received from Matt. The journal report shows the problem. I did not credit the income account. The bank account is both debited and credited for each contribution I entered. I'm not sure how I entered the information incorrectly or where I missed a step in the entry to make sure the income account was credited. I'm also not sure how to correct it now.

The journal report will show you exactly what was entered. You can use that to determine the transaction to reverse (just switch the debits and credits). Also, in v9, you can now reverse a transaction through the View Posted Transactions screen in Fund Accounting. You'll then need to reenter the transaction as it should be, debiting your bank and crediting your income, as a journal entry in Fund Accounting -> Enter Transactions.

You'll also want to double-check your Contribution Fund setup to make sure the appropriate accounts are listed in there.

I reversed the transactions and reentered the information and the problem was corrected. I did not set up the Contribution Fund correctly in the beginning. Thanks to all who helped and offered suggestions!
