Contribution Deductible Status
One of the types we assigned to several funds which receive contributions is Not Tax Deductible. The help display and the selection coding indicates that type is included in the contribution statement, but I have not been able to see it displayed. We would prefer to identify not tax deductible contributions from those that are tax deductible. Can anyone help?

Re: Contribution Deductible Status
To make sure I understand your question correctly, let me restate it.
You have created a contribution fund group for non-tax deductible contributions. This was done under contributions -> setup -> maintain custom codes -> contribution fund types.
You are wanting this information to show on a contribution statement probably sub-totaled by fund group so people can use this information to prepare their taxes.
If I have your information correct. Let me explain the purpose of the fund types of the fund groups. This was created as an easy way to group like funds together. For example, people want to report on the amounts given for mission purposes without having to remember which range of contribution fund the missions funds were grouped in. That is why we created the fund groups. They were not designed to indicate if a fund was deductible or not.
To do this there is an option on the contribution fund to include the fund on a statement or not. For those non-deductible funds, just un-check the Include fund on statement options. We don't include non-deductible funds on the statement so it does not confuse the contributor about what amounts are deductible or non-deductible.
