Hello Everyone,

Something failed in our internal controls. It appears that one or more members are in PC+ v.9 with duplicate profiles but different membership numbers. Also it appears that these members have posted contributions in PC+.

How or can this be fixed?

Please help me. I am climbing a wall!!!

You'll have to combine the personal profiles from the duplicate family with the profiles of the original. Once all the profiles are attached to the same family listing, you can reassign the 2nd envelope number to be the same as the 1st. This will effectively merge the two together. You can then delete the duplicate profiles (as well as the duplicate family mailing list entry) without losing any of your CO data.

I found this posting somewhat helpful, but not exactly where I am. We had the same person, a single lady, entered under two last names with two contribution numbers, both with checks posted to them. We would like to get her under her correct name and one number. How do we get the contributions together under one number?

Basically you're going to move the personal profile, then merge the envelopes:

1. Decide which mailing record you want to keep.
2. Go to the incorrect mailing record and MOVE the personal profile there to the mailing record you're keeping.
3. Under contributions menu, select Reassign an envelope number. Enter the envelope number of the personal profile you want to eventually delete as the first number, and the enveloper number of the correct profile as the second. Press OK, the data will then be merged, and the incorrect profile will then reflect the correct number.
4. Delete the incorrect profile.
5. Delele the incorrect mailing record.
