Donation Receipt

Post by HeatherG »

I'm in Canada and I have my PowerChurch setup for Canada. When I select the yearly donation receipts with the CRA Sample #1 there is a category in the receipt that says "Location issued:" this space is blank. Do we have to fill that in by hand on each receipt we print? Or is there somewhere that we]enter it in? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/246 ... .32.35.png

I'm going to assume that is entry is required if you have multiple locations but the charity has a central office. If you have a number of locations, then yes, if not I don't believe it needs an entry.

However, I would check what he official requirements are with the Canadian Revenue.

I don't think that's what it's referring to but the location of the church

That's already covered with the 'Charity Address' listed above. Again, I would take a look to see what the government requirement for that location is.

Did some more research, and found this in a Powerchurch newsletter:
Version 11 of PowerChurch Plus added the option to print receipts using the CRA Sample #1 layout published in the CRA documentation. This is not a requirement to be in compliance, but is available for those who prefer to use it. This layout has an additional "Location" field which is not pulled from elsewhere in the PowerChurch Plus database.
