Never ending pledges

PC asks for an end date for each pledge entered. None of our pledges have end dates. They are usually monthly pledges that go on until the donor decides to stop them. The only way I know how to get PC to recognise these pledges is to enter an end date of 31/12/9999. This, of course, makes the number in the Total column of the Pledge Detail view quite a ridiculously high number.

Has anyone found a nicer option?

In your situation, it would probably be best to add the pledge as a yearly pledge. The program can add new pledges based on existing pledges. If you go to contributions -> year end pledge processing, PowerChurch will create new pledges for existing pledges that expire on a certain date. I hope this helps.

Seems to work fine. It would be nice to be able to change pledges in batches instead of doing each fund separately... but this solution does work. Thanks for your great replies to posts in the forum!
