Merge Two Designations

Is there a way to MERGE two existing DESIGNATIONS that already have items posted to them? Also, is it possible to re-assign the FUND that they are associated with?

For example, merge the designations PAVEMENT FUND and PARKING LOT FUND.

As well, if they were inadvertently created as a SPECIAL DONATIONS fund, could they be changed to MEMORIAL funds? I know they can, BUT the previously posted DESIGNATIONS still indicate the original associated FUND.

For example PAVEMENT FUND designation was associated with SPECIAL DONATIONS, but we would like it to show on our reports as the new MEMORIALS FUND

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

You can merge two contribution funds together using the Reassign a Fund Number screen, but there isn't a way to merge designations.
