Deleting Unposted Contributions

We made a mistake and re-entered a set of contributions that were previous posted. How can we delete the duplicate contributions that have not been posted. The contributions are showing in the "unposted" status; which have the potential of being posted by mistake, since they appear in the drop down menu when going through the post contributions process. Please help!

The contributions are showing in the "unposted" status; which have the potential of being posted by mistake, since they appear in the drop down menu when going through the post contributions process. Please help!

Since they have not yet been posted, this makes it much easier. Go into the Contributions menu and select Modify Unposted Contributions, and just delete all the contributions that are duplicates.

You'll get a dialog screen with a contribution displayed. If the one that's displayed is not a duplicate, click on Next to check the next one. If this one is a duplicate, click Delete. Then just repeat the process until all the dups are deleted.
