Sorting Checks

Good Afternoon,
We spend more time sorting our checks in alphabetical order before entering them into PowerChurch.
I like having the envelopes stored in alphabetical order for future reference when trying to look up a check posted to the wrong name.
Since PowerChurch sorts the checks that are entered, are we just wasting our time?
