Hello,

We changed email hosting to Microsoft 365 and now are having issues setting SMTP server settings to send contribution emails. By default, Microsoft 365 email doesn't allow for this type of authentication. We made an outlook.com account and was able to send half of the emails before Microsoft flagged us. The question is what is everyone using for smtp server settings to send emails? Just use a generic IMAP account? Paid smtp relay service?

We want to use are professional email to send these reports.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you.

Actually, Microsoft 365 does allow for authentication ... you just need to set the port number to the correct one for authentication:

We setup the email on the File -> Preferences -> System Setup, EMAIL TAB

I suspect the settings are the same as we use for 365:
For the outgoing server: smtp.office365.com:587
CHECK Outgoing email server requires authentication
Enter your normal email address and password. We did not create any special email, just one that is used by our office admin, and that password.
Security select the TLS setting. Leave certificates blank

Depending on how many emails you're sending, select the Use advanced sending options I would set it for no more than 25 every 10 minutes to be very conservative.

Then click on the TEST button to see if it works.

The information came from a MS info page .. here:
